The sidewalls of the Ralphs can be a bit pourous for a while, they need to block up with goo. Good test is to mix up some washing up liquid with water to make a lather almost like shaving cream. Then smear it on the tyre sidewall and see if any bubbles appear. Rotate the wheel in the flat plane on both sides if you get what i mean to distribute the goo on the inner sidewalls.
Welcome to the future.
P.S. I had a little washing machine incident last night.........your cheque never survived...oops
Just taken the wheel out of the boot of my car and it's still inflated! Well impressed. Going to do the back one on Monday and then stick them in a bike.
It's going to have to be the Pace - the Turner should be sold by then :O(
Good luck. Pumped a few extra psi into the fixie last night(when it was about minus 1). Got to work in a good time, and placed the bike in the nice warm stores as usual. 3 hrs later there was an almighty bang, and a few worried faces in the office below. The warmer temperature increased the pressure inside the tire enough to blow a 10cm split in the tube........Lesson learned.
Thats usually down to bad tyre mounting. Gray - you cant just mount a tyre with latex and leave it, you have to go out on it to slosh it all around so that it fills all the microscopic gaps up.
I gave the wheel a good slosh around and tried to coat the inside of the tyre with fluid. I blew it up a spread it around again last night so I will see what has happened when I get home this evening.
