How cheap?!?!?!?!?

no no no
Trust me, 90% of the hassle people had in the Transrockies was with crossmax wheels, even as far as spokes popping out just through going in the aeroplane

Oh yes and bens a rim and thats £100 please for the rim alone.

Stick to light hub, normal spokes and Mavic or stans rims

Nige Knows what hes talking about, he's seen someone walk ten miles because of a smashed Mavic rim, infact he went with him.

Ooh see Gra u have all the wrong ideas! DONT SELL THE 5 SPOT

Yeh he only needed 4 spokes but he had to buy a box full cost over £100 for spokes/rim & that was trade.

Bought 'em, fitted 'em, ridden 'em.

Look the dogs bollox but it is a job to get the tyres to seat. I hit 90psi on the track pump before the bead popped on properly. It could be interesting when I get a puncture and need to do that with a mini pump.

Put some Panracers on them, they are as sloppy a fit as a fat mud wrestling bird.

After stuffing the rear mech and a small tree into the wheel a couple of weeks ago, I have had the misfortune to try and fix one of these sooner than I would have hoped. After hearing about other peoples experiences I was more than a little worried that I my need the services of my bank manager.

No need to panic - you just need Neil. I went in to the shop at 14:45 with a bent wheel and a worried look on my face. I walked out 20 minutes later just £10 lighter after he fitted two new spokes and trued it up. Bargain.

Where does Neil work??

I'd call £10 for two spokes and the fuel to get to the shop and back pretty scandalous to fix such a regular problem that hits us all, sooner or later.
The whole point with these wheels we warned you about was the fact that it was trouble to sort it out, a normal DT hub and Mavic rim combo would have seen you trued up and on the road the next day with the help of carbon Bob or Glynn or Lloyd, and probably cost you a pint.
