I hope that was a replaceable hanger
graham2 wrote on Mar 28, '07
So do I. I also need to get the rear wheel straightened and a new rear gear mech. It was an expensive branch to hit.

How are you? Have the injuries cleared up?

Lip is healing nicely - wrist is still sore - had my first physio appointment yesterday, and he seems to have put the wrist bones back where they belong, so just need to get some movement back into the wrist and I might be able to ride again

Spoke to Pace who told me to ring Leisure Lakes. They are going to order my new rear mech hanger and charge me £25!!!! I reckon I could get a new one made out of platinum for that.

I'm going to take the wheel in to Neil at George Halls at the weekend to see if he can straighten out my banana'd spoke - I dread to think what that will cost after the scare stories I've heard on here.

Graham, spoke to Dave and he has a spare hanger you could borrow, but he wants to keep it in case he sells frame ever.

Bummer Paul that the wrist is giving you gip, you can always turbo one handed though.

Have done some one handed turbo riding - but boy does it hurt the sit bones. Having been travelling for the last couple of weeks it has mainly been hotel gym bikes, and they are even worse. Clip on Tri-Bars is what I reckon I need so I can rest on the elbows. I guess I'll see what the physio says next Tuesday....
